Exhibition: François Chifflart & Victor Hugo: dark fantasy
Organised in partnership with the Maison Victor Hugo in Paris, this exhibition will take the form of a major touring retrospective of the life and work of the indomitable artist François Chifflart, an engraver and illustrator from Audomar. Because of his non-conformist nature, he did not pursue the career as a history painter to which his Grand Prix de Rome had destined him, but he was able to reveal all his genius in black and white through engraving. The exhibition will also highlight the influence of Victor Hugo on the work of François Chifflart and the mutual admiration that the two artists had for each other.
To enhance your discovery of the exhibition, there are two activities on offer: a drawing trail for adults and teenagers, and a game trail for children aged 7 and over.
